New BSF Staff!

Abigail Funk (they/them)

Education Director

Bio: Abigail is an actor and teaching artist in the Baltimore area.  They hold a B.F.A. in Acting and a Minor in Anthropology from UMBC, graduating Cum Laude. They have performed onstage for both Baltimore Shakespeare Factory and Chesapeake Shakespeare Company. They have been a teaching artist for The Studio at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company and have been working for Harford Heights Child Care in local private schools since 2018.  Their love for classical theatre has led them to share their passion for Shakespeare both onstage and in the classroom, and they are committed to encouraging growth and creative expression in young students through Shakespearean language and characters.

Goals:  Abigail is thrilled to be joining the BSF Staff and is looking forward to working closely with current teaching artists to expand the current curriculum and find new ways to have students explore and relate to Shakespeare in our modern age.  They are also excited to meet and train new teaching artists to bring new ideas to the classroom, experimenting with new ways to engage students of all ages in devised theatre.

Jalice Corral (she/her)

Artistic Producer

Bio: Jalice Corral is a writer, producer, and stand-up comic from Baltimore. After studying in London and completing the 2020 Soho Theatre Writers' Lab, she returned to Maryland where she has worked as a stage manager.

New Role: I am so excited to be joining the BSF as the new Artistic Producer. I'm looking forward to bringing Shakespeare's work to life and working closely with the rich Baltimore theater community.
